Hey guyz here is some info for game settings if its not running good enough.
1. Running on : CPU Intel i5-3570K@ 3.4 GHz, RAM 8GB, GPU Nvidia GTX 660 Ti
2. Go to game options and make sure you don't use better settings than the following cuz the game isn't optimized to work as intended yet and any other setting will harshly lower FPS:
Vsync On
4x Anisotropic
2x Anti-alising samples
Fast Approximate Anti-Alising - OFF
Shadow Resolution - Medium
Motion Blur - OFF
Disable HDR - unchecked (as default)
Reflections :
Mirror Resolution - LOW
Cubemap Resolution - LOW
Faces per Frame - 2 (you can try 3 it will work ok most of the time)
These settings are decided after about 30 mins testing with my system hope this helps.
PS. the game may not be worth buying just yet but any PC gamer that has a passion for cars should buy it if they can appreciate the stellar work KUNOS has offered PC gamers. Same goes for Project C.A.R.S.

Guys can you help me? I can't change controls.When i enter in controls in settings menu game just crashes and i must play with keyboard...Anybody know the solution?

Sorry, guys, when I try to run this prog, it gives me a "Steam failed to initialize" error. Even after the patch released by 3DM. Any help appreciated.

game works fine to me with this crack : http://bayfiles.net/file/ZvE1/T1yGWI/Crack.rar after extracting one of 3 zipped files just download and put this crack in extracted forldier...the game does not need instalation..:) for the guy that has problems about controls go to options - control settings and up and right on screen change the device from keybaoard to gamepad or wheel , and then you will find more settings about your control method....the game for me is very good its simulator like gran turismo and its stil beta...there is already on steam to buy it 35 euros not bad deal..not yet multiplayer or carrier but about 1/2014 the final version of the game will be released with more content (tracks,cars etc) Have fun! :D

All I did was download steam and let it update.
In Tuneup I disabled the 2 windows start-up entries and rebooted.
Using the crack as described I did not get the same error as you again and AC booted.
BTW: I Put the crack in the main AC folder and it worked for me ie: nfo said put it in user

I can't change controler type game just crashes when i enter in controler settings...
people who are saying this game is terrible; mind saying WHY it's terrible?
cause if its just the graphics/framerate, that stuff is always the last to get fixed. If it's the handling of the cars, that's cause this is a simulator.

Neither this nor the updated version work on my PC (W7 x64, i7-920, 6GB RAM, GTX660), I get Steam initialization errors even with the crackfix, and if I run the game directly I get DirectX errors resulting in only sound.
And yes, I tried to update DX but I've already got the newest version.

Also, the moron who uploaded the crack decided to, for some reason, encode the configuration file with ANSI, thus rendering all Chinese characters garbage and making it unable to translate.

Thx lexer, that (in addition to running all of the updates (some of them twice) and multiple reboots) has gotten the front end to start, but the main game gets to loading xxx track... loading xxx car... then "acs.exe has crashed..." :(

Both of the 3DM releases of Assetto Corsa on TPB have problems, and up to this point the "fixes" are hit and miss for each individual user. I strongly urge everyone to wait for a release from another group.

@Ho3n3r, I get a "steam failed to initialize" error when I try to launch using AssettoCorsa.exe. Whether steam is running or not, even if I run as administrator.
So what exactly am I doing wrong?

nevermind, got it working with @miatakias's crack.
Game works totally fine now with his crack. Xbox 360 gamepad was super easy to set up. Performance is great, 30-45fps, even on my super old system: Radeon HD 5770 1GB, 4GB DDR3, Athlon II X4 620 2.6ghz quad core.
